Our peaceful atmosphere has great location and amenities and is designed around expansive courtyards and offers many floorplan options. We are steps away from the South Lakes Village Shopping Center available via a traffic-free walkway with no steps or hills to climb and no traffic to worry about.

Wiehle-Reston Metro Station and District is only one mile away and Reston Town Center is less than 3 miles away.

Thoreau Place is lucky to be located near two of Reston's beautiful lakes, Lake Thoreau and Lake Audubon. Both lakes are easily accessible via the Reston walkway trail that travels behind our property.

Although the metro is within walking distance, the Fairfax Connector Bus line stops on our corner of Sagewood Lane and South Lakes Drive. The metro bus stop is steps away on South Lakes Drive and Sunrise Valley Drive.

A diamond shaped building with four connected wings surrounding two open, central courtyards with gardens and fountains. Every residence doorway opens directly onto a bright sunlit covered walkway which surrounds the central courtyard at every level.

Versatile Space

This lovely space is capable of being divided into two separate rooms. The area can be used simultaneously as a movie theater in one half and a meeting in the other. Or it can be used full-sized for receptions or parties. It also has a full-service kitchen and serving area.

We currently offer activities such as seated exercise classes, weekly bingo and a monthly book club in this space.

Extra Comforts

Our bright sun room is a favorite spot. And, just off the main lobby is a library and reading lounge. On the lower level is an exercise room and extra laundry area.

Also located in the building is a tenant storage area, providing additional storage space for each resident.

Our newly remodeled gym is located on the lower court level and is available 24/7 for our residents.
